00:00 <****> merry X-mas all!!!!
00:25 <****> my cable modem cannot do 10mb full-duplex. how lame.
00:38 <****> heh
00:38 <****> fucking hell
00:38 <****> 692340736 100% 12.48MB/s 0:00:52 (xfer#17, to-check=17/147)
00:38 <****> for a transfer into .za
00:38 <****> thats *FAST*
00:38 <****> (international from europe)
00:49 <****> it would be faster with more tcp connections right
00:49 <****> za always confuses me, I always think it's zimbabwe or something crazy
00:51 <****> heh dwxreaper in theory but for a single session
00:52 <****> thats bloody fast
00:52 <****> yea, low latency
00:52 <****> bandwidth=windowsize/rtt
00:53 <****> so if you use the max window size, and know rtt, you will have the throughput
00:54 <****> in theory
00:54 <****> did you guys hear of that new digital photo policy for cisco exams?
00:55 <****> i got a licsense that good enough?
00:55 <****> fuck
00:55 * dwxreaper doesn't want any trouble
00:57 <****> apparently now if you want to take an exam they need your picture
00:57 <****> :D
00:57 <****> dimik, what do you need to take the exam
00:57 <****> very cool.
00:57 <****> i guess they want to register the whole nine yards including how you look
00:57 <****> my license has a picture, that ok
00:57 <****> 12/5/2007 -- Cisco Systems announced this week that it has instituted a policy whereby all candidates will have a digital photo taken and provide a digital signature at the test center before being allowed to sit for any Cisco exam.
00:58 <****> i look like a fucking mongrol
00:58 <****> they'll be scared
00:58 <****> look the man keeping people down again, how am i supposed to take the ccna for my homies

01:39 <****> merry xmas ladies
02:17 <****> hi
02:19 <****> hi
02:37 <****> merry xmas ladies
02:43 <****> ladies?
02:43 <****> there is no ladies in here
02:43 <****> evil_lbt_ try #ladies
02:43 <****> heh
03:04 <****> anyone here from Texas ?
03:06 <****> I'm recently from Texas. I'm still recovering.
03:07 <****> from what
03:07 <****> got infected by the Bush?
03:08 <****> went to skool in Amarillo & Austin. which part of Texas are u looking for?
03:09 <****> T1C: do you think UPS might be opened tomorrow?
03:09 <****> Absolutely not. The gremlins are loading the UPS databases for the rate hikes coming on Jan 1st
03:11 <****> heh
03:11 <****> this is crazy
03:11 <****> UPS went to deliver something for my pal
03:11 <****> but his friend was there cuz he stepped out
03:11 <****> he signed to receive the stuff
03:11 <****> and then said the person does not live here
03:11 <****> and they went back with the stuff
03:12 <****> but in the UPS tracking it's saying delivered
03:12 <****> would it say that even if they went back with the stuff?
03:12 <****> bitch-slap that puppy
03:13 <****> if I could..fly up to the US...and the the Dx4 = Vaporizer..and lay it on it
03:13 <****> The driver just clicks stuff on his pad, and the delivery is recorded
03:13 <****> I just hope they don't ship back the stuff
03:13 <****> but if he didn't deliver..even if they guy signed..
03:14 <****> evil_lbt_: figure of speech :)
03:14 <****> cos your a bunch of queens ;p
03:14 <****> without a tracking number, all you can do is post a lookout for the UPS van ...
03:15 <****> T1C: will make my partner call the office first thing Wednesday
03:15 <****> and ask them if they can re-deliver
03:16 <****> T1C: if you go to the office to collect do you have to show ID?
03:18 <****> dunno. does the package have one of those "adult signature required" stickers?
03:18 <****> don't know
03:18 <****> came from Amazon...
03:19 <****> at least do the customer service thing at ups.com, since u have the tracking #
03:21 <****> yea
03:23 <****> hmm
03:23 <****> Christmas Day - December 25, 2007**
03:23 <****> ** UPS Express CriticalSM available 365 days each year
03:23 <****> not Critical
03:27 <****> T1C:
03:27 <****> are you there
03:28 <****> 'sup?
03:29 <****> pm
03:29 <****> hmm
03:29 <****> where is nemith
05:05 <****> Anyone have a minute to shine some light on Multi-VRF / VRF-lite confusions I have?
05:09 <****> shoot
05:12 <****> To put the question in context, my intended use is to put access layer devices in isolation domains, dumping them off behind FWSMs in our distribution switches. The Multi-VRF docs states you can only have one VRF per layer3 interface, being a VRF novice I am not sure what impact that has.
05:13 <****> is your access layer layer 3?
05:13 <****> wooooooooo 140 pages thru my bsci book!
05:14 <****> loceur, we are in the process of a network redesign, I would like to have a pure layer3 access layer and I am hoping VRF-lite will allow us to maintain our security isolation policies without trunking from distribution to access.
05:15 <****> vrfs are like seperate routers in one device
05:15 <****> so any given interface/port can be attached to one router
05:15 <****> you can interroute betweeen them, or you can pass each side through say an fwsm
05:16 <****> but vrfing is simple seperate routing tables for any given vrf
05:16 <****> sounds ike a fun gig
05:19 <****> Hmmm, let me pose a more specific question. If I have a access layer switch with connected to distribution with layer3 and I have two local vlans for data and voice, but then I have 5 Vendor-A devices (in vlan3) I want to tunnel back to distribution and dump off behind a FWSM and the same for Vendor-B, will VRF-lite work in this situation?
05:21 <****> well that's kinda vague, but you want a fwsm between vendor a and b?
05:21 <****> both on 2 different access switches?
05:21 <****> vendor A and B may exist on the same access layer switch, but may also exist on other access layer switches within the same distribution block.
05:22 <****> well, the fwsm will act as a router, so no need for vrfing there
05:22 <****> I would want to control access to other network resources via the same pair of FWSMs in our distribution layer
