02:24 <****> heh
02:24 <****> I missed exporting german and dirty polish talk? damn...
02:24 <****> funny ;)
02:24 <****> Mononoke: Nie pogrywaj ze mn
02:25 <****> Linux_Galore: nice, you know a few words a bit :)
02:25 * Mononoke just imagined new aplication for openmoko
02:26 <****> univac: zajebiste polish
02:26 <****> imagine map of world with map of countries, when you press some country it will show you some basic phrases in local language(s)
02:27 <****> Mononoke: I had an idea of synchronising google translator into the NEO
02:30 <****> my polish is rubbish though, I struggle with Mi?o mi cie

02:35 <****> prosze
02:35 <****>
02:37 <****> strange how thats pronounced prosh-a
03:07 <****> I just got new images flashed and I must say, everything looks a lot better!
03:07 <****> they even replaced the terrifying startup noise. :)
03:07 <****> although, calling out appears to hang the modem.
03:07 <****> but phoning in works great.
03:13 <****> gsm.log: http://pastebin.ca/834291
03:43 * Aria is away: ish
04:07 <****> hmm, anyone else having problems not having a tarball for openmoko-panel-gps available when using MokoMakefile?
04:12 <****> meh
04:19 <****> api.hostip.info is not responding
05:11 <****> I'm looking for someone to help me test some u-boot fixes - any volunteers? You should have a GTA01Bv4, and a debug board in case something goes wrong.
05:15 <****> Files are at http://members.shaw.ca/mmontour/u-boot/ if anyone is interested, but try at your own risk.
05:34 <****> mmontour: I might be able to check them in an hour or so, I've updated my you-boot alot. Is there anything specific I should look for? (note that I do have a debug board, but haven't needed it yet, so I don't know how to use it)
05:37 <****> Thanks. This build contains workarounds for OM bugs #799, #887, and #1140, so those should be tested in addition to general stuff (make sure it boots properly, that you can access the console, etc.)
06:50 <****> Hi all
06:51 <****> I got following error message when i ran make openmoko-devel-image
06:51 <****> NOTE: package glibc-2.5-r8: task do_package: failed
06:51 <****> the above said is the error message i got
06:51 <****> what could be the reason
06:51 <****> ?
06:53 <****> Only about 10,000,000 things could be the problem.
06:53 <****> If you check carefully in all the messages, it should tell you to look in a log file.
06:53 <****> The log file will have the real error message.
06:53 <****> oh .
06:54 <****> where can i find that log file ?
06:54 <****> any specific path ?
06:54 <****> It will either have been printed out to the screen, or the messages printed on the screen will name the log.
06:54 <****> The exact path will vary.
06:55 <****> ok ..
07:03 <****> openmoko: werner * r3748 /trunk/src/target/u-boot/patches/uboot-s3c24xx-nand-boot.patch:
07:03 <****> openmoko: uboot-s3c24xx-nand-boot.patch:
07:03 <****> openmoko: - cpu/arm920t/start.S: file was patched twice, gravely upsetting quilt
07:09 <****> mwester: http://pastebin.com/m1cedd97c
07:10 <****> mwester: the link mentioned has the output from the "make openmoko-devel-image"
07:11 <****> mmontour: your you-boot worked fine for me. I do not have an SD boot setup and I've never seen the messed up you-boot loader screen, but I got two successful startups without having to hold both buttons and boot through the loader. Odd thing is that it also seemed to jump-start SMS. It had stopped working for some reason a while back (not that it's bug free now by any means), but I can send and receive SMS again. My kernel and
07:11 <****> sreekant2: Line 31
07:12 <****> dang abbreviation substituter! you-boot lol
07:13 <****> mwester: how can i solve this issue ?
07:14 <****> Check the wiki for any info on qemu problems when building locales to see what others have done to solve this.
07:14 <****> I don't build the locales -- takes too much time.
07:15 <****> moko-bunny: thanks for testing. I think the SMS thing is coincidence - there shouldn't be any connection to u-boot.
07:15 <****> mwester: ok
07:15 <****> You can add the following line to your build/conf/local.conf file to disable locales:
07:15 <****> ENABLE_BINARY_LOCALE_GENERATION = "0"
07:15 <****> oh fine
07:18 <****> mmontour: I agree about SMS. Funny thing is I specifically tried it with the image I built tonight. didn't work, send or receive. loaded your "you-boot" and boom.."message received" right on startup. Maybe starting through the boot loader sets the environment different somehow than the single button boot.
07:20 <****> You can check your u-boot environment from its console. The default boot uses the "bootcmd" variable while the menu uses whatever command is associated with that menu entry
07:21 <****> You might have a "console=ttyS0" statement in one of them but not in the other. That might make a difference with gsmd.
07:22 <****> (actually "console=ttySAC0,115200")
07:23 <****> cool, I'll check that out.
08:16 <****> openmoko: werner * r3749 /trunk/src/target/u-boot/patches/ (4 files): (log message trimmed)
08:16 <****> openmoko: Support board-specific NAND initialization, and use this to make "nand
08:16 <****> openmoko: createbbt" on GTA02 more efficient. (Run time decreases from about 145 seconds
08:16 <****> openmoko: to less than ten.)
08:16 <****> openmoko: uboot-s3c2410-nand.patch:
08:16 <****> openmoko: - cpu/arm920t/s3c24x0/nand.c (s3c2410_nand_enable_hwecc): is only used in this
08:16 <****> openmoko: file and therefore should be "static"

09:07 <****> Hi all
09:08 <****> Can i run "make openmoko-devel-image" on one system and copy the contents which the make process downloaded in to another system ?
09:11 <****> sreekant1: I know those under sources/ can
09:11 <****> ScaredyCat: not sure about the others
09:11 <****> sreekant1: not sure about the others
09:11 <****> ScaredyCat: sorry :)
